Boot Knife News

The pritchel hole is a round hole in the face that allows a punch, drill or drift to go down into the anvil. So the steel is quenched allowed to cool in some medium such as oil, water, air, or molten salt, depending on the steel. You do one of two things with pig iron: you melt it, mix it with slag and hammer it to eliminate most of the carbon down to 0 and create wrought iron.

Boot Knife Facts A prime example of pattern manipulation is twist pattern, created simply by twisting the billet. The primary weapon of the early gurkhas and other warlike tribes in the area was the kora. In time-quenching the steel is withdrawn from the quenching bath when it has reached the temperature at which the martensite begins to form, and is then cooled slowly in air. A main use of these is for navigation. See also Knife Works, and pages related to Boot Knife.
