W.R. Case & Sons
Cutlery Company is proud to present Exotic- Purple Spiny Oyster. Six
patterns: with abalone and nickel silver inlay, mirror polished Tru-
Sharp surgical steel blades and a total production limited to 500
pieces. Named for the spines on its back that help it close, the spiny
oyster shell is found in the Sea of Cortez off BaJa California, Mexico.
It was the shell most loved by the Mayan people, and has been found in
abundance in excavations of the Anasazi and Hohokam of the southwest.
When Cortez took examples of Spiny Oyster back to the King of Spain and
the king's daughter fell in love with it-the shell acquired the name
"Princess". Just like the Princess, Case Collectors are sure to fall in
love.
