The newest collaboration between RAT and Ontario is a 3.5 inch fully concealable sheath knife called the RAT-3. It was designed for law enforcement, military including U.S. Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, and outdoorsmen who require compact cutting power.

RAT knives have a full flat grind and 57-58 Rc hardness for excellent slicing and cutting efficiency. Choose between these steels:-
- D2 tool steel for longer edge holding and stain resistance
- 1095 high carbon steel for an almost unbreakable knife with razor sharp edge and ease of sharpening

The handles feature Micarta ergonomic handle slabs for increased grip when wet. The handle slabs are attached to a full tang and secured with stainless steel screws. Each knife also features an extended pommel with lanyard hole.

All RAT-3 Models comes with a molded Blade-Tech sheath. The sheath easily integrates with a Blade-Tech drop holster or can be adapted in the field to fit other rigs commonly used within the military and law enforcement communities. The sheath comes standard with two types of retention devices: a TekLok and a Boot Clip and can be carried in left or right-hand mode.
