MY BUCK 110
MATT EHRENBERG (MARIETTA OHIO) 2/11/2015 6:16 PM
IN SEPTEMBER 2012 HAD TO SEND BACK A BUCK FIXED BLADE DUE TO BAD STEEL IT WAS CHINA METAL . THEY SENT ME THE NEW SERIES BUCK MAXLITE GUTHOOK 679 USA MADE AND A 25% COUPON TO USE ON THEIR SITE SO I ORDERED A NEW 110 AFTER CHRISTMAS IT IS A 2012. HAD A BAD SNOW STORM USED IT ALL NIGHT TO OPEN SALT BAGS . PROBABLY NOT A GOOD WAY TO BREAK IT IN BUT BROUGHT IT HOME USED HOT WATER DAWN DISH SOAP CLEANED IT REALLY GOOD AND HAVE NEVER HAD A ISSUE WITH IT AT ALL I CARRY IT EVERYDAY AND USE IT CAMPING EVERY WEEKEND IT WILL GET RAZOR SHARP AND STAY THAT WAY. I ALSO OWN A 1974 110 STILL HAVE ORIGINAL SHEATH. GOT IT IN 1999 TRADED MY NEW ONE BACK THEN TO GET A FRIENDS OLDER 110. I USED THE OLD 1974 110 ON MY VERY FIRST DEER IN 2007 IT WAS THE ONLY HUNTING KNIFE I OWNED AT THE TIME. MY BUCK 110 HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD TO ME AND STILL CARRY A BUCK 110 ALONG WITH A FIXED BLADE WHEN I GO DEER HUNTING OR SQUIRRL HUNTING. BUCK KNIVES ARE MY FAVORITE KNIFE I MUST OWN 15-20 BUCK KNIVES IN MY COLLECTION FOLDERS AND FIXED BLADES EVEN A FEW POCKET KNIVES AS WELL LIKE A 309 I GOT IN 2000 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION. AND A 2014 303 CADET THAT IS MY EVERYDAY CARRY AS WELL MY 309 STAYS LOCKED UP DONT WANNA LOSE IT I CARRIED MY 309 14 YEARS TILL I BOUGHT MY 303 BUCK CADET TO REPLACE IT AS A EVERYDAY CARRY KNIFE. MY OLD 1974 110 IS MADE FROM THE OLD 440C STEEL WHICH BUCK USED FROM 1964 TILL 1980 WHEN THEY WENT TO 425 MOD THEN IN 1994 THEY SWITCHED TO THE CURRENT 420HC THAT THEY STILL USE TODAY. THE OLD 440C CAN BE A REAL BEAR TO SHARPEN BUT IF YOU KEEP A EDGE ON IT THAT STEEL IS NO BIG DEAL TO KEEP A RAZOR'S EDGE ON.440C TENDS TO DULL FASTER THAN WHAT THE 420 HC STEEL DOES THE 420HC IS MUCH EASIER TO MAINTAIN A EDGE ON AND WILL STAY SHARP A LONG TIME I ONLY HAVE TO TOUCH UP THE 420HC ONCE A MONTH AND I USE MY 303 CADET EVERYDAY ALL DAY LONG.

THE BUCK 110 ARE A DARN GOOD KNIFE I OWN THREE . BACK IN 1999 I TRADED A NEW ONE TO GET A FRIEND'S OLD 1974 110 WITH ORIGINAL SHEAATH. I USED IT IN 2007 ON MY VERY FIRST DEER AND IT STILL HAS BEEN GOOD TO ME I HAVE HAD IT NOW 16 YEARS. IN 2013 I ORDERED A NEW 110 A 2012 MODEL AND HAVE USED IT TO SQUIRRL HUNT, DEER HUNT, RABBIT HUNT. I CANT TELL MUCH DIFFERANCE BETWEEN MY OLD ONE AND NEW ONE. THEN IN 2014 I ORDERED A NEW 110 A 50TH ANNIVERSARY ONE TO TAKE AND USE BUT TAKE GOOD CARE OF ONLY BEING MADE THIS WAY FOR 2014 I BOUGHT MINE IN JULY AND ORDERED A FRIEND ONE AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT CANT WAIT TO GIVE IT TO HIM THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER OUR WEEK OF GUN SEASON HERE IN OHIO. IF YOU WANT A GOOD KNIFE THAT WILL LAST FOR YEARS AND MAKE A GOOD KNIFE TO PASS ON TO A FAMILY MEMBER LATER ON GET A BUCK 110 THEY HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD TO ME.

Ya Gotta Own One
Philip LaPadula (Indianapolis) 6/29/2014 8:46 PM
This is my second Buck 110... and I just had to own the 50th anniversary model with the medallion embedded in the side. I'll use it as needed and eventually pass it onto my grandson. Keeping old traditions and knives alive for the next generation!.

MY 110 BUCK
MATT (MARIETTA OHIO) 2/26/2013 11:19 AM
I just bought a BUCK 110 from the buck site due to them sending me a 25% off card that I had to use on their site to buy it. I bought a 110 brand new 2013 model to carry and retire my old 110 made in 1974/1980 I got the new 110 on 1/21/13 and have carried it everyday since then.it has became a EDC knife so far. After rabbit hunting with a friend he used my 110 and then went and bought one for himself the other day. The buck 110 is my favorite knife I have a older one made in 1974 /1980 era with 440C steel that is not hard to sharpen with a good quality stone. From 1994 till now they are 420HC stainless steel that is very easy it's self to re sharpen. I have had very good luck with my buck 110 along with the other different style and design buck knives I own. I have no trouble getting a buck knife sharp at all. I am a avid buck user and fan my next buck knife is going to be the buck 112 ranger model to use squirrel hunting.

Buck 110 from 1974 -1980
Matt (Marietta ohio) 1/22/2013 10:28 AM
I have a buck 110made from 74-80 I traded a brand new 1999 model that year to get my friends older one I used his older one to squirrel and deer hunt I used it on my first deer in 07 still have the original sheath to it. The old one was made from 440C steel back @ that time. well I ordered a brand new one off the buck site that way I can retire the old one that belonged to my friend my new one is the 420HC stainless steel cant wait to see how it sharpen's when it gets that time. I plan on using this new one to hunt squirrel and deer next hunting season. I am carrying it now to see how it will hold up. The buck 110 have been good to me no trouble getting the old one like a razor . This one has the leather sheath also.Ordered it from Buck because they sent me a card for 25% off being they sent me the wrong hunting knife which they let me keep then they sent out the correct one so with discount card I paid $60.29 that include shipping. The knife new is $69.00 but with shipping I would had $83.00 for it if I would not had the 25% off discount card. Can't wait to use it I hope it holds up as good as my one made from 74-80 my new one is a 2012 model plus I have several other buck hunting knives as well the buck brand is all I use they have been very good to me and is all I use hunting every year.. They can get like a razor blade if you have a good quality American USA sharpening stone.
