Do not let this graphic rendering fool you -- this is a radiantly beautiful knife. It simply glows. It is also lighter than their all-metal knives last year, which is both a plus and a minus. It's easier to carry but not as well crafted as before. The blade is still very sharp, and their teflon opening system as responsive as before. But it's clear they're cutting corners (no pun intended - really!). E.g., there are no liners. The lock is now a framelock rather than linerlock. And despite the overall beauty, the pivot pin on the reverse is a plain hardware screw-without bluing or polishing (at least my pivot screw is such), a demonstrable and poor contrast to the highly polished scales. Yet, all in all, the knife is more than worth its modest charge, and I doubt you will be sorry you bought it.
