Great knife, easy to sharpen great feel,fast in hand A++

I purchased this knife after reading a review in Tactical Knives magazine but with some doubts, particularly regarding the thickness of the blade; after all, the blades generally recommended for bushcraft are thin with a true Scandi grind. I was surprised at how well this 3/16" thick blade carves wood and generally performs for primitive living and bush work, and unlike the typical Mora knife it could take abuse if your survival required it. My only dislike is the weight: I have not removed the scales but I assume from the feel the frame is not skeletonized. For bushcrafting the weight is not critical, but for my regular backpacking trips I will take something lighter.

Well made, sturdy, super sharp out of box, and great workmanship. The knife comes with a kydex sheath but you prefer a nylon sheath, TOPS sells a pathfinder sheath that will fit this model. I ordered it from TOPS directly with no complaints. For a bushcraft knife, this knife excels at most jobs..... a true workhorse! For the money, this knife is worth it! Cuts everything well and re-sharpens easily. Keep the blade oiled to protect it. Comparing other bushcraft knives to the TOPS BOB, the BOB is the pick of the litter! TOPS makes good knives and does not cut any corners.

One handy, hardy, useful blade. This blade handleswell and the shape and grind make it perfect for survival carving, cutting, skinning even filleting. It is the heavy duty TOPS knife I have come to expect and respect. I have been thereand done that...this one is riding on my belt. I am disabled, service connectedand learned long ago that great gear only counts if it is on you when gremlins come calling. Well worth the money. A great dependable tool.
