TOPS Mini Scandi Knife 2.5, 1095 High Carbon Steel, Tan Canvas

Originally designed from the Finnish sami knife, used by the Laplanders for all their hunting and bushcraeft tasks. These knives have traditionally been flat ground, single or double sided, with a "zero-ground" edge--ground to the edge.  It occurred to TOPS that a good idea is still a good idea in a smaller package. The "Mini Scandi" was a result of the very popular, original Brothers of Bushcraft (BROS-01) knife.  It offers all the advantages of a Scandi grind in a neck/small sheath knife, just more concealable.

Specifications:
O/A Length: 6 1/8”

Great addition to the Tops BOB
Roy (Keel) 4/10/2014 1:56 PM
I bought this knife as a companion to my bob fieldcraft knife. I found that the BOB knife fits into a Becker BK16 and a Buck Sentry sheath perfectly. The Mini Scandi 2.5 fits into the front pocket of these two sheaths perfectly and securely. One sheath for both knives. The BOB knife is for most tasks and the Mini Scandi is great for finer detail work. With both of these knives on your belt you have just about everything you need for bushcrafting and skining. The ultimate one/two punch in one sheath. Get them both, put them in one of the two sheaths I mentioned and you will love the setup.

Simpley great EDC

This little knife slices, carves, whittles, pierces and maintains a very easy edge through it all. My small to medium hands can get a solid 4 finger hold on the handle; more filling than an esee candiru, but still a small knife overall for larger hands. I swapped the kydex neck carry sheath for a friction fit/ open pouch style leather sheath from another maker as I prefer hip carry and this happened to work near to perfect. However, the kydex supplied by TOPS is sturdy, has solid retention, and is low bulk since it has no steel clip or belt attachment. Would still use it if I was waring pants w/ out a belt option. Great knife - have been pleased more w/ this MSK than several past knives purchased over the last few months and have worn it now as my preferred day to day piece since August. I would by another and I would purchase this product as a gift, too.
