The BRK Avispa, which is the Spanish word for Wasp, is the big brother to the zancudo folder Design by Esee Knives. With it's Drop Point Blade Style. It also features textured nylon handles and dual thumb studs. I think this folder will be compatible for everyone.

FLAT OUT AWESOMEReview by Ben

I love it. I've ran the Rat1 one for years, and I can finally say I've found its match. *at this price point* The knife is very thin, comes super sharp as well. Deployment is good, and lockup is great. Mine had a tiny bit of side to side play, but I quickly fixed it. (Posted on 10/4/2014)

First off, the fit and finish of this tool are outstanding. The aestetics of the knife are beautiful with a nice bright orange nylon handle and the clip, framelock slab, and blade nicely stonewashed. This is a light medium large (more a large) folder with a generously milled out stainless liner in the nylon handle. It has a very thin profile in the pocket about that of a Spyderco Endura/Delica which to me is a plus. The blade is 3.5 inches and due to the design of the handle, feels generous as if it were a longer blade. It has a very Kephart style blade shape which is good for bushcraft and features a flat grind. It should excel in this role for slicing. Centering is perfect on mine and the lockup is solid vertically and laterally. I love both the ESSE and avispa picture on the blade. Very cool. This is an excellent EDC choice and with a four way clip like the Ontario Rat 1, what is not to love? I got this over a Kershaw CQC-6K and I think it is a very clean knife both in looks and function. Value is superb and I believe I will buy more for friends and backups. (Posted on 7/9/2014)

Great knife, better price. I carry mine with me everywhere, work, gym, everywhere. Capable blade, sharp, easy to deploy, solid. I look forward to years of use out of this blade. (Posted on 7/2/2014)
THE PRICING ON THIS THING..Review by Joel Jämsen

A good outdoors blade for your backpack, heavy framelock construction, great bladeshape. Priced EXTREMELY well, you get a heavy duty framelock for under 30 bucks. Only negative is the same thing as with the avispa, the G-10 scale is too thin for my taste, and Ill be looking into making my own scale to make it thicker ! (Posted on 6/27/2014)
