Black blade, black handle: this AD20.5 pairs a black D2 clip point with black textured Grivory and Andrew Demko’s Shark-Lock™ on the spine.

The blade is D2 tool steel, 3.25" long and 0.13" thick, with a black finish and a 3.0" plain cutting edge. The clip point dips the spine toward a fine tip, a profile many users favor for general utility and detail cuts. D2 is commonly described as semi-stainless; it is valued for wear resistance but can stain more easily than true stainless steels, so wipe it dry after use. The Shark-Lock is worked by a ramp-like fin on the spine, and the blade opens by thumb stud or thumb hole. Black textured Grivory, a glass-fiber-reinforced nylon, covers steel liners for a 0.32" thick handle, with a tip-up clip set up for right- or left-hand carry.
